i found the eko super junior a for 5 euros THIS morning. it seems to be HARD to FIND, moreover there are few informations about it on the internet. we get a polyphonic preset synth FROM 1979. wooden and black plastic. black and white, KOLD WAVE BABY !! eko is an italian guitar company, it belongs to the SIEL or crb's sound. analog and COOL. not great but NICE.

Voilą la bete.

Mais ce synthe-ci n'est pas un dinosaure. Sorti en 1986, ce synthe a l'origine est un jouet. Destine ą un jeune public auquel on offre son premier instrument. Rien de particulier apparemment. Mais la ou reside tout son interet, c'est sa fonction echantillonage.



Oui, ce synthe est le premier sampleur accessible a la bourse d'un gamin qui n'a pas grand-chose dans ses poches. A l'epoque, il coutait 50 euros ( oui, je sais les euros n'existaient pas encore ).

Now Yamaha in my experience stands for very clean sound somehow. This synth is very clean but at the same time that cleanness makes it very powerful.

I think the quality of the VCF's is very good. In original state the 8 step analog sequencer cannot be synced or triggered to external things like drummachines. That is really great because it forces the musician into weird exploration.
